Tutorial - What The!?

So, today, I for some reason decided to attempt a tutorial. Couldn't find the good cam, so it's with the shoddy one. :D As such, full face photos SUCK. Also, grey day washes me out. Sorry this doesn't do this look justice - I promise it sparkles and is crazy pretty!! Anyhow, now that I've blessed this, if you're interested, check it out!

Follow up:

Start with clean skin, well moisturised. Heap on the moisturiser around the eyes - you'll be surprised how much they soak up!

Time for laying down a base, dudes. Put whatever base you like on your brow bone (I'm using Painterly paint pot) and apply Delft paint pot to the lid. I use a blending brush to apply it so that it goes on evenly. Feel free to layer it to build up the colour - I do!

With a flat, stiff brush, apply Old Gold pigment to the lid over the Delft paint pot.

Grab a blending brush and your Steel Blue pigment - mix up some wet stuff, yo! Dry, this is one chunky-arse pigment. Wet, it is smooth and gorgeous.

Blend the wet Steel Blue over the outer third of the lid.

Now we're gonna use some Plumage shadow, yo. Pack that stuff onto the outer corner with a dry blending brush to help ease some of the shimmery-shim and add depth.

Blend that badboy Plumage through the crease, dudes!

Highlighting time! I use Blanc Type, since we already have a lot of shimmer going on. I use my 227 brush to sweep it onto the brow bone, then I turn it to blend it in.

I also like to go back in with the brush I blended the Plumage with to do a bit more blending and make sure everything is smooth.

This is all that remains of my Blanc Type!

A cotton swab dipped in eye makeup remover will now come in quite handy to remove any fall out.

Now, some liner. I'm using a small angle brush and blacktrack fluidline.

Here's where I pause and apply foundation and concealer. I return to the eye after this, but I like to be sure I can bring my undereye concealer all the way up to the lash line, as I find it truly helps to brighten the eye. Don't forget to set with powder!

Back to the eye, dudes. With a pencil brush, apply some more Plumage to the outer lower lid. It helps to tie everything together, yo. :p

Again pencil brushing it, apply Nylon to the tear duct and inner lower lid to add a bit of brightness.

I also put Nylon on my waterline. With such a dark eye already, I want something light on my waterline, yo. I think Uppity fluidline would suit better, but I wanted to use all permanent items. :p

I use a bit more blacktrack on the outer lower lashline to add definition.

Finally, do your brows, curl your lashes and slap on some mascara! I don't do my brows til after all the shadow is in place, as I like to ensure I don't have any stray highlighter in them. ;)

Now is when I add blush (I used True Romantic Beauty Powder Blush - sorry for the LE :p), contoured and highlighted, and went for a lipstick that wasn't overly obnoxious (Patisserie!).

Here is the crappy final picture:

Why on earth does Patisserie look so red here? Whatever. It's a bit more nude in person. Enh. So, this is more of a night time look, as it's not particularly shy and demure. Also, I opted for Old Gold since that poor sucker has the Triangle of Death now - it's so pretty!!! Get it while you can!!!

Finally, are there any questions or comments? Should I give up now and run for the hills or do another of these some day?
