Smoky Eye of Decadence

When it comes to holidays, there's a lot of talking, eating and whatnot, and as such, I prefer to focus on the eyes with my makeup so I don't have to keep reapplication of lipstick in mind quite so much. As for decadence, well, what colours are more decadent than gold, silver and purple? None I know of!

Follow up:

Mmmm, yes. I don't see gold and silver combined a lot, as done poorly it can look kind of tacky, but I personally like this. Feel free to disagree, of course! :)

I used a sticky black gloss as a base on the lid, over which I applied NARS Night Clubbing generously. Plenty of sparkle! I blended it out with MAC Greystone (a matte blue-toned medium grey) and highlighted with Blanc Type to balance the sparkle on the lid. I then went back in with Make Up For Ever's #92 through the crease and outer corner, with a touch of gold sneaking in under the outer corner, too! MAC Electra is above the crease to help the transition from the dark shades to the light Blanc Type, and add a little extra sheen. ;) Liner is MAC blacktrack, as I'm trying to finish my pot. Ha! Oh, and the bottom lashline is a combination of MUFE #92 and Greystone. Mmmhmm!

These photos are by lamp light, no flash. I'd love to know what you think!
