NOTD: New Year's Eve NailsI've long had a love affair with China Glaze's Midnight Ride - a deep, dark blackened purple that is smooth and pigmented. For New Year's Eve, however, I decided to kick it up a bit, with the help of one of the China Glaze glitters! Follow up: ![]() What you're looking at here are two coats of Midnight Ride topped by a single coat of Preppy Pink. Preppy Pink is amazing for layering! I adore the multi-coloured glitter in different sizes. It sparkles like mad. I keep staring at these nails, dudes. If you don't like the slight milky, filmy look the pink gives, take some cotton with polish remover on it and give a light, quick swipe over the nails. This isn't enough to remove the glitter or the base purple, but it lessens the pink. Sorry, but I forgot to take pictures of this step! Either way? Rockin' nails! I hope you've all had a great end to 2009 and that 2010 is the best year yet for you and yours. I'd also love to hear about how you decorated yourself for the night! |
