UD Springin' New Goods!

What's this? The promise of a delicious new formula of shadow that is silky smooth, without fallout, and up to 40% blingier than what Urban Decay already gives us? In 9 new shades!? Wallet, we need to talk.

Follow up:

There are some sexy frigging colours in the troupe of nine! At $20USD a pop, they may seem a touch pricey, but these things are HUGE! At 3.5g, they're more than double the size of the regular shadows (1.5g) and still bigger than even the deluxe shadows (2.5g). If you've been watching Urban Decay's twitter or facebook, you may have seen some swatches sneaking out already. If you haven't? Look here!

(These swatches are in fact from UD's twitter, and are not mine. Just to be totally clear.)

As for other goods?

The Primer Potion family has just welcomed a new member! Her name is Eden, and while she's got the traditional family attributes of being a crease-proof lid primer to keep your shadows sittin' pretty all day, she's here to offer a fresh-faced option. A matte (!) tawny shade, Eden can stand alone to brighten and even out your lids without any distracting shimmer (there's already Sin for that, right? :D). Only downside to this chica? She's a Sephora exclusive, so if you ordinarily get your Urban Decay fix elsewhere, you'll have to make a special trip to find her (be it to a physical Sephora or Sephora.com).

With all the high definition powders out there these days, it's no surprise that Urban Decay has decided to do their own take on it. And dudes, I don't think this one's just silica powder! The Razor Sharp ultra definition finishing powder sounds as though it offers more than just the typical translucent soft-focus, shine-free finish others out there give. Sure, it's still all of those things, but there's more, too!

For one, the packaging is not a simple sifter jar. This is designed to be an all-in-one unit with an attached puff for application, and apparently even an on/off function to keep it from going kaboom in your purse. It might also make me giggle a bit that there are silhouettes of a razor on the clear base of the jar. :D What really has me going, 'dude, really?' is that Urban Decay says there are wee little water particles that "float along the skin's surface and actually "burst", creating a microscopic ball bearing effect when the powder is applied." Weird! The additional bit that it can be used under makeup to transform foundation into a liquid powder has me pretty fascinated. The Razor Sharp powder will be available in lots of places for $30USD.

Keep in mind, I haven't actually tried these yet so I have no clue how well they actually work, but if they're anything like the rest of the UD products I have... Bring 'em on! The powder and the shadows are already up on Urban Decay's site, along with three new shades of cream-to-powder foundation. If only they shipped to Canada!

Well, Nia, at least the powder will be available from Sephora, which makes the prospect of a CP at least a little bit easier. :D
