Make Up For Ever's Super Mate Deserves a Cape

So, lately with this charming winter weather and overheated dry buildings, my skin has been getting cranky. It's been getting dried out, and, to compensate, producing a heck of a lot more oil. Eek! Oily isn't cute! So, what's a girl to do?

Powder that mess down!

For this cause, I turn to my favourite loose powder - Make Up For Ever's Super Mate.

Follow up:

Nope, not a typo. Totally Super Mate! I think of it as my friend, and I sort of want to give it a cape... but that's not the point! :) A little bit goes a long way, and it mattifies my skin like whoa. It is delightfully translucent, and the fact that it is not stark white in the jar is handy - it helps avoid that ghastly white cast some powders leave.

It's not the cheapest powder around, but I think it's totally worth it as it does its job beautifully, a little goes a long way, and it doesn't break me out at all. I don't have oily cheeks, so I usually just dust this along my t-zone, and this jar will last me just shy of forever. Some powders don't have lasting mattifying powers, resulting in the oil slick just being delayed rather than banished; thankfully, this isn't one of those beasts. I've tried a number of loose powders, but I seem to keep coming back to my good friend Super Mate.

What about you? Tried this and have an opinion on it? What's your favourite powder?
