Gettin' Glossy with Bobbi Brown

She-zam! Alright, so, this isn't the most exciting return, but I'm at work trying not to cough on people, and I've got these pictures already online to go with my words... I love pictures! Let's do it up and talk about some lip glossing action from Bobbi Brown, shall we?

I have Bobbi's Crystal gloss and the Sheer Tint SPF 15 gloss in Bare Shimmer. Oooh, look at 'em! Look familiar? I did post a lip swatch of Bare Shimmer approximately fifty trillion years ago, and that can be found here. These glosses represent two different formulae; want to know my thoughts on each?

Follow up:

Crystal is a basic clear gloss. Bare Shimmer is a sheer nude shimmer that neutralizes my lips. Both are thick and give a gentle shine, but aren't super glossy - if you're looking for the plastic wet-shine look, these aren't the glosses for you! However, I find that the Crystal is ridiculously thick, and I sort of feel like I've plasticized my lips. Now, this gloss lasts for a good long while, but the texture weirds me out. It's tacky, but not sticky in a superglue kind of way. The Sheer Tint has similar tackiness and lasting power, but I find it's not quite as thick, and as such a lot more pleasant to wear both solo or over another lip product. The SPF makes it all the better!

On the up and up, these don't dry me out and there's plenty of product in the squeezy-tube packaging (which happens to be my favourite lipgloss packaging style!). Both are solid gloss formulae and the mini sizes (such as I have here) will last forever, so I can only imagine a full size would last for eons. Mmmm.

Did you know? Yesterday was Cosmetosaur's birthday! It was pretty nuts at dino headquarters, as we woke up to the charming shriek of the fire alarm - we got two fire trucks sent over to our building and everything! The cat was Not Amused. Then again, I don't think the firemen were all that enthused either, particularly when there didn't appear to be any fire. We also had no water for most of the day! There were plumbers in the building who turned off all the water without telling anyone, as it turns out. Boyfriend-man totally made my day by bringing home a super cute plushie dinosaur from work for me, and then taking us out to dinner. Most stuff was closed by then so we ended up at Burger King, but it was still adorable! The Yet-To-Be-Named super cute dino plush will be shown in the near future when I get off my bum and edit some pictures. ;)

How are you?
