Hey all. If you follow my twitter, you may have caught on that I've been working a fair bit lately. Put in 13 hours yesterday, woo! Ahaha. We've been super busy. Still, I haven't forgotten about you all! Just haven't had time to get on here to post. But now...!

You'll have to forgive me, but I ended up wearing the same nail colour for four days straight, when I start getting serious chipping after two. Eeek! Still, I love this colour. China Glaze's Heli-Yum from the spring Up & Away collection is... incredible. A delicious raspberry pink that is absolute perfection in consistency and really only needs one coat. Um, dude! It works well enough with my skintone, too.

So, nail polish wears, whatever. But... what does one's eye makeup look like after a thirteen hour work day?

Happy Monday, all! I had a weekend full of work, sleep, my dad's birthday, a Mardi Gras party and more! The cake for my dad's birthday had rum in it, and well, the leftovers he sent home with me have scented my entire fridge... eep!

Anyhow, to get back on track, I thought I'd show you all I still have a face:

The blue shirt with this makeup makes me giggle, but oh well. I did my makeup and snapped these photos before I got dressed for work. The focus of this is definitely the lip - featuring Viva Glam Cyndi!

A bit of colour to brighten up a very grey day. It warmed up, so everything was melting, and it was also misting: this made for a very slippery outside world. No good, dudes. I'm not a fan of icy sidewalks!

Yup, this is how I interpret the 'rainbow' eye makeup look. I don't want it all glaring and kindergarten-like. So... here goes! Also: be warned that mascara and I are soooo not buds right now, due to watery allergy eyes. Yum! If I wasn't taking pics, I would have skipped waterline and mascara, most likely. *shrug* I also forgot to fill in my eyebrows, haha. Sorry. We'll blame the allergy pills for my absent-mindedness, yes?

Ok, who let me live this long without getting Urban Decay's Get Baked? Seriously, though. If only for the shadows! Half-Baked and Baked are both so silky smooth and pigmented and glowing that I can't get enough of them at the moment. I like that Twice-Baked had just enough glitter to make it sparkle, but not enough that I'm inducted into fall-out city. And we can't forget Flipside, that sexy shimmery teal beast!

The little sample bottle of Sin primer potion is cute, and I can imagine it'll be a good buddy during days when I'm in a hurry and just want a lick of shimmer on the lids - I often use the shadow Sin for that! But enough of that: let's test this out on my face, shall we?

Ever notice how around the web FOTDs and EOTDs tend to have really cheesy names? I've never been a big fan, but here's one anyway, because it kind of makes me giggle. Anyhow... this, to me, would be a super fun holiday look. Golds and reds work beautifully, too, but they don't make my pale skin and red hair pop like these shades do!

I was feeling... autumnal. The current hue of my locks, though it may frustrate me, did bring out a seasonal reminiscence. I was, at such, inspired to grab my MAC "Smoking Eyes" quad, and needed no other shadows. Mmm. Unfortunately, this day was one riddled with weeping eyes, which in turn taught me something...

When it comes to holidays, there's a lot of talking, eating and whatnot, and as such, I prefer to focus on the eyes with my makeup so I don't have to keep reapplication of lipstick in mind quite so much. As for decadence, well, what colours are more decadent than gold, silver and purple? None I know of!
