EOTD: Mmmm, Blue and Green![]() You're probably wondering, "What on earth is... is that her finger nail? Why is that in the picture!?" The simple answer is: to stop a sneezing fit so I could take pictures. Pressure on the nose, no more sneezing, more pictures - hurray! Blurry pictures don't really do much for me or you. NOTD: Rimmel "Mania"I found a few polishes I've had since high school the other day, and simply had to repaint in lieu of this. I don't know where the rest of my Rimmels went (damn it!), but this one, my favourite, was there: ![]() This is one of the 60 Seconds fast drying shades, in 877 Mania. This is still applying pretty damn well for its age, and the colour is a ridiculously gorgeous dark teal/green duochrome. I took a couple pictures before cleaning up my tips (I'm so bad at painting, haha), and of course those are the ones that show the colour better. Sorry, yo! This one is without flash... Lustreglass Lip SwatchesI had a request to do lip swatches of my lustreglasses, so here they are! Sadly, I only have four of them. ![]() Love Knot My one and only limited edition lustreglass, it was also my first of this formula. I'm absolutely infatuated with this shade, by the way, because of the kick-ass duochrome. Star Makeup Haven SwatchesWell i've been living under a rock for the last few weeks, I guess depression can do that to you. Anyway i'm a little better and want to post about this new brand of makeup I ordered off the net. I love to support little companies and try new products. The site is Star Makeup Haven. They have cheap eyeshadow that is comparable to Mac and other brands. Same size pan and each shadow is only $4.95us. They let you build a customizable palette, which I did. The shipping was decent and I would order from them again. But after getting 15 shadows for around $50us i'm good for now. MAC Pigments - Part 2Same deal as yesterday, dudes. No base, top row applied dry, bottom applied wet. Now for colours!!! ![]() Steel Blue, Forest Green, Teal, Teal Ok, so, Steel Blue. Crazy chunky, frigging ton of fallout used dry. Used wet? It is GLORIOUS! Superbly smooth golden blue hotness. Now, the teals. Way to be consistent, MAC. Usually the vials of pigments match their jar friends, but not here! As you can see, the Teal released in a vial with Little Darlings last holiday season does not match up to the permanent version at all. Yikes. MAC Pigment Swatches - Part 1You didn't think I was done showing you pigments, did you? Here's part one of the swatchfest. I haven't swatched everything at my disposal yet, because I got bored. Top row is dry, bottom row is applied wet. Some I swatched today I need to redo, because the picture suck. Some of these, unfortunately, miss the nuances of the shade, but this should help show what they look like anyway. ![]() Primary Yellow, Golden Lemon, Gold (metal), Gold Dusk UD Liquid Liner SwatchesMy mini haul arrived the other day from Haute Look. I ordered a few Urban Decay liquid liners when I saw they were on sale. I don't think I saved money in the long run though, as the shipping was insane to Canada and I had to pay even more when they arrived at my door. I was not a happy camper, but the pretty colors make up for it. ![]() Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye PencilsThese eyeliners are precious to me. They are my go to eyeliners for fun colorful looks or more sophisticated looks. These liners do it all and then some. They are creamy, great for blending (after applying you have about 30 seconds), then they dry to a long-lasting finish that won't budge. They come in so many colors that I still don't own them all but i'm working on it. ![]() More Swatches Because I'm Just That LameHands down out of these, the Electric quad is my favourite. Also, I may be the only one to feel this way, but I think vertigo is mildly hilarious. ![]() Some of the shades from the Tokidoki collab quads (Modella and Celebrita) need to be used with a stiff brush - a soft one like, say, a MAC 239 won't get you far ("WHERE IS THE PAYOFF!?"). As you can see, though, when applied with something firmer, they show up fine. The pale yellow in the Modella quad almost has this fun green iridescence to it. The whitish shade from Celebrita has a gentle pink iridescence to it. Basically, fun stuff, dudes. My apologies that the FOTDs I had planned for this week and other stuff have simply not come to fruition. I feel frigging lame. |
