Project Purple Gets Glossy Today's post is all about purple lipgloss, brought to you by Captain Chapped. Please forgive. Lustreglass Lip SwatchesI had a request to do lip swatches of my lustreglasses, so here they are! Sadly, I only have four of them.  Love Knot My one and only limited edition lustreglass, it was also my first of this formula. I'm absolutely infatuated with this shade, by the way, because of the kick-ass duochrome. Mac Style Black Collection I've been hyped up and ready to haul big time for collection since I first heard about it awhile ago. And finally Sept 24th has come and I got my goodies. Mac Dazzleglass Creme Collection This collection didn't get to much hype as its release was the same day as Style Black. So Style Black took over everyones dream and left Dazzleglass Cremes alone in the dark. But these guys should brighten up your day being the total opposite of Style Black with tons of color. There are 9 limited edition colors in this collection and a lot of them different tones of pink. First off we have the beautiful Amourous which I couldn't wait to own it's dark red brown red with pearl, Creme Allure is a purple pink, Do it up is bright blue pink, Luscious Spark is orange coral with pearl (probably buy this one if I get another one) My Favorite Pink is light blue pink with pearl, Perfectly Unordinary is bright yellow pink with gold pearl, Soft Dazzle is pink peach with gold pearl, Sublime Shine is light coral brown with gold pearl and Totally Fab is yellow red with pearl. I found these to be a little bit grittier from the old dazzleglasses. They come with a brush applicator that you need to break in when I started to use it the brush is super stiff. I wish they didn't do so many pinks in this collection but maybe will see different colors if they release these again. Lancome La Laque Fever Gloss If you're in the mood to buy a new gloss then this is the baby you need. This baby can do it all: survives through dinner, drinking and heavy makeout sessions. Trust me, I know first hand for all 3. I bought this in Electric Pink, trying not to have a heart attack over the price tag but you don't need to reapply so it saves money in the long run. Mac Trend F/W 09 Collection Review and Swatches Boom!! Another quad graces our presence. With Makeup Art and Cosmetics 3 quads making a little happy threesome this dark and delicious wonder scares them all away. If you want to achieve the dark blue/grey smokey eye for fall this is a given. It houses A Warmer White which Mac calls a pale green grey...I don't see any green, Tone:Grey which is a nice mid-tone grey, Waft a nice dark blue grey and The Right Smoke which is almost Deep Truth but has white pearl. I didn't pick this guy up as I have tons of blues and greys but it's a nice starter quad that has everything you need for a smokey eye. Make-Up Art Cosmetics Swatches WOOOO! Crappy swatch time! Forgot my cam, so I had to get these home to photograph. Ech. Sorry, dudes. Also, if my internet doesn't stop crapping out, I'm going to go a little insane. Smashbox LipglossOne of the things I first fell in love with from Smashbox was their lipgloss. Got to say, that love hasn't faded! I don't go around buying every gloss ever because I'd never use them all, but I do have a small selection with 14 shades:  Why do I love these? How MUCH do I love these? Euristocrats 2 SwatchesYes, I finally bought new batteries. Expect a slew of images coming within the next week, because I'll gleefully be abusing them. Gender swatch and a bit of random Sloppy, but that's how Illamasqua's intense lipgloss "Gender" looks on lips. Frigging opaque, hey? A couple other things I'm hooked on:
Cheek blush (my perfect peach) and Sally Hansen's Insta-dri polish in Jumping Jade - I love the colour. I'm a bit agitated right now as an order placed during the sale showed up at my place today, with precisely HALF of the items missing in action. This displeasures me and perplexes me, as I find it difficult to understand how one could miss several items in packing something. Anyhow, hopefully I'll be less grumpy ere long. Also, this just makes me shake my head. Am I the only one not loving the Twilight insanity!? |
