Today's post is all about purple lipgloss, brought to you by Captain Chapped. Please forgive. ;) This is Lull, from MAC's Bluestorm collection.

Project Purple: Pencil Party!

09/11/09, Permalink 07:27:51 pm, by Sanayhs, Categories: Random

Liiiiiiiiiiners! Pencil liners! Easy to store, travel with, wield... So of course I've gotta have a bunch of purples on hand!

Miss Fortune pearlglide, Bordeauxline powerpoint, Fab Orchid/Dash Lily double ended pencil

Lots of purpley options! And glitter! I loveeeee the colours of the double ended pencil, but honestly? It's kind of a bitch. The dark side is insanely smudgey, and the sparkly side is really hard so if you just grab it and try to apply, it'll probably hurt.

Project Purple Continues: Assorted Shadow Swatches

08/11/09, Permalink 09:34:28 pm, by Sanayhs, Categories: Swatches

Hi everyone! Hope you had a super awesome weekend. I'm still sceptical you all aren't sick of looking at smears of purple on my arm, but since you said to keep going... I will! Today are various non-MAC pressed purple shadow swatches (and one glitter liner!).

Here you are looking at Urban Decay Deluxe shadows in Fishnet and Ransom, and the purple from Smashbox's Celebrita quad.

A Purple Pout for Pennies!

Look! Purple lips! Sorry about the couple of flakies. :p This, unlike the last purple lip product featured, is a warmer purple and as such much easier to wear.

What is it, you say?

WHEN WILL IT END? (Purple Swatches Cont'd)

03/11/09, Permalink 05:20:47 pm, by Sanayhs, Categories: Swatches

This post is mostly not pressed shadows. You'll see!

Purple halves of MES Earthly Riches, Mi'Lady and Hot Contrast (THE MELANGE TURNS PURPLE)
I love Earthly Riches so hard. I don't have a lot of MES, by the way. These three? About half my collection of the formula. I generally believe that MES=mess.

P-p-p-purple!

31/10/09, Permalink 02:20:44 pm, by Sanayhs, Categories: Swatches

The swatching of my purple pressed MAC shadows continues. Yes, this is an illness.

Roustabout (Amazon Eyes quad), Demi-sweet (Sweetie Cakes quad), Leap (from Corps de Couleur quad)

Um, wow. Way to be nearly identical, Roustabout and Demi-Sweet. I actually really love Leap, though. I think the Corps de Couleur quad in general is ridiculously pretty, in a soft, ethereal sort of way (but wasn't that the general vibe of Danse anyway?).

Living in a Haze of Purple...

Time for more swatches! Let's go over the other palette I showed you, shall we?

Lavender Sky, Plum, Violet, Dear
Lavender Sky, being a veluxe pearl, is incredibly easy to work with. Great medium, very warm purple. Plum, I've heard a lot of people complain about? I have no issues, and quite like it! Violet, Dear is pretty, but I hope you have patience, because it's one of those velvets that requires piling on to get any colour. Great over something like Mauvism paint!

Lilac Lipstick: The Key to Looking Asphyxiated

25/10/09, Permalink 08:49:25 pm, by Sanayhs, Categories: Swatches, Reviews

Yes, I am addicted to purple makeup. There is a shade to make essentially every eye colour pop, and it also works nicely with my cool skin and the red in my hair. Plus, it's just hella pretty! :D

Curiousity got the best of me when I was looking at Star Gazer lipsticks the other day (and all the unusual shades available!), so I decided to order one to try out. I picked the shade 115, a creamy lilac, for my test run purposes, as I figured it's not quite the ordinary, but it's also something I'd actually wear.

Little did I realise quite how blue this sucker is!
