Tutorial: Let's Make A Rainbow Together! :DLet's Make a Rainbow Together! Rainbows are pretty, right? Let's make pretty!! Yes, indeed. This is a tutorial for the EOTD I posted on Sunday. Sorry, not a video, but it's something? ![]() This is our goal. Want to see how we're going to get there? Tutorial Time Again! Platinum Emeralds?Ok, folks. You're gonna have to tell me if you like this stuff or hate it, but so far any feedback on my tutorial attempt action has been positive, so here's another! Bet you weren't expecting this so soon after the last, huh? Here's the look we're going for today: ![]() So let's hop to it! Smoky Eye of Decadence: How-To!![]() Remember this? The lighting plays the colours a touch differently here, but I bet you still recognize it! Well... some of you wanted to know how I assembled this, and I gave a tutorial a shot. If you're interested, check it out! Tutorial - What The!?So, today, I for some reason decided to attempt a tutorial. Couldn't find the good cam, so it's with the shoddy one. Choosing the right foundation![]() There are many options for foundation. It really depends on what coverage you’re looking for or what you’re trying to cover up. Most foundations now don’t “cover up” your natural beauty, but make it shine through. Thank god, because old foundation formulas were like a mask; I’m happy we're out of that trend. First off, before you delve into the world of foundation you need to figure out what color works best with your skin tone. I’m probably sure you heard it all before, but narrow down the three closest matches to your skin color. Now take those three and put a tiny stripe on your jaw line to see which ones matches exactly and disappears into your skin. To make an accurate decision, go outside in natural daylight and check your skin there. It’s the best light for doing any type of makeup. Now I know we are not born with perfect skin, so if you have redness or uneven skin tone it’s a tad bit harder to match your complexion to a foundation. Your neck may be a whole different color then your face; I find the best solution for that problem is to choose a color that falls in-between the shade of your neck and face. Then you cover your jaw and feather it down your neck (or even lower if you’re wearing a low cut top). The worst is having 2 distinct colors showing on your face and chest. How to make your own bath salts![]() Even though it's hot where I live right now, my life wouldn't be complete without a nice bath every once in a while. And to make it extra speical I add some of my home made bath salts. Bath salts have been around for a long time and many believe that's because salt contains minerals, and minerals help cleanse and remove toxins from the body and help improve circulation. It also helps soften skin by removing dead skin cells. If you add essential oils to your bath salts you get the luxuary of aromatherapy which helps to relax you, or invigorate you through the many different scents. It's also said to help people with skin disorders gain temporary relief. Even if you don't believe in the healing powers of bath salts you can enjoy a nice luxurious bath fit for a queen or a king. Brows Brows Brows!Rewind: My First TutorialThere have been some requests lately for me to make a tutorial, and I aim to please, so here I present something from a while back. Hopefully on my day off I'll make a newer one, and then you can compare and contrast the differences between my applications then and now. If you think this is in any way serious, I feel sad for you. Obviously, I'm bad at serious. Depotting Smashbox SinglesAhoy there! Today I'm going to chat a bit about how to depot single smashbox eyeshadows. I'm a depotting fiend - I love having everything tucked neatly into palettes. Conveniently, smashbox single shadows are the same size as MAC shadows! You can snuggle them right on in with your MAC shadows in your palettes. Mmm, yum. They're a tad trickier to depot, however, if you've never done it before and/or don't like fire... |
